Planning your Kitchen

Measure twice, cut once - every carpenters motto. At Healy and Mangan, we believe that this motto applies from the very start of the process throught to the very end.

Planning is one of the most important aspects of any major project and this is especially true when it comes to ordering a new kitchen. To assist you in this process we have compiled a checklist of questions to ask yourself before starting the planning process.

1 Create a "wish list" for your new project and then number these items in order of importance
2 How much can you realistically afford to spend? An accurate budget projection is essential to any successful plan.
3 Does the work have to be completed within a specific time frame?
4 Are there any major structural changes to consider, e.g. do you need to move a wall or window?
5 Will you require new appliances?
6 Will you require any plumbing, electrical or tiling services?
7 What do you like/dislike about your current kitchen?

After the initial site survey and general discussion, we will produce full architectural drawings of your new kitchen or wardrobe design.
